About
Culture, Design, Made Physical
So Genius I/O is a New Jersey-based design and fabrication business creating custom products through laser engraving, 3D printing, personalization, and small-batch manufacturing.
What started as a creative outlet has grown into a shop focused on turning ideas, culture, and everyday needs into physical products that are useful, personal, and made to stand out.
From custom domino sets inspired by culture and community to furniture solutions, deck boxes, game accessories, and one-of-a-kind personalized pieces, each product is designed with a balance of function, creativity, and attention to detail.
What We Make
Our work includes:
- Custom and cultural domino sets
- Personalized gifts
- Laser-engraved products
- 3D-printed products
- Furniture risers and functional home solutions
- Deck boxes and game accessories
- Custom products for events, businesses, families, and organizations
Many of our products are made to order, which allows customers to choose from available designs, colors, personalization options, measurements, and other custom details.
We also work directly with customers on custom projects when an existing product does not quite fit what they need.
Designed and Made in New Jersey
So Genius I/O is operated by So Genius I/O LLC in New Jersey.
Products are designed, fabricated, finished, and packaged in-house in Garfield, New Jersey, using a combination of digital design, laser fabrication, 3D printing, and hands-on finishing.
Because much of our work is produced in small batches or made specifically for each customer, we are able to pay close attention to the details of each order rather than relying on mass production.
Why “So Genius I/O”?
The I/O stands for input/output.
It reflects the process behind everything we make:
Idea in. Physical product out.
A customer may start with an idea, a measurement, a cultural reference, a logo, a color, or a problem that needs solving. We use design and fabrication tools to turn that input into something tangible.
That philosophy is at the center of So Genius I/O.
Custom Made, Not One-Size-Fits-All
Customization is a major part of what we do.
Depending on the product, customers may be able to choose:
- Design
- Color
- Personalization
- Size or dimensions
- Engraving
- Artwork
- Product configuration
For more involved projects, we may provide a digital proof or communicate directly with the customer before production begins.
Our goal is to make the custom-order process clear and straightforward from the initial idea through production and delivery.
Built for Real Use
We want our products to look good, but they also need to work.
Whether it is a domino set meant for game night, a custom furniture riser made to specific dimensions, or a protective deck box, products are developed with their intended use in mind.
Materials, dimensions, construction methods, and finishing are selected based on the product and application.
Culture Is Part of the Story
A large part of So Genius I/O grew from creating products that reflect cultures and communities that are not always represented in everyday products.
Our cultural domino collections are designed to bring recognizable symbols, language, places, and identity to a game that already plays an important role in many families and communities.
At the same time, So Genius I/O continues to expand beyond cultural products into functional design, custom fabrication, gifts, games, and other creative products.
Small Business. Made With Intention.
Every order supports an independent small business.
We handle the design, fabrication, customization, quality checks, packaging, and customer communication behind the products we sell.
We are continuously improving our designs, materials, and manufacturing process while keeping the flexibility and personal attention that come with small-batch production.
